More rain today.

I read in the paper that the bank around the corner was held up yesterday for $5000. I wondered why there were helicoptors whirring back and forth over the house all morning. Occasionally that happens at night, if there is a shooting at the public housing projects nearby, and the police look for the suspect with a searchlight. Once an undercover officer was shot and the helicoptors kept at it all night into the morning.

The strangest time this happened, though, was last winter. One night, around 2 AM, a helicoptor was roaring back and forth-- but I heard no sirens. Whenever there is a helicoptor search, there are police cars on the ground driving with their sirens on. But this was just a circling helicoptor, with no cars on the ground joining the search.

Watched "Enterprise," actually just listened to it on the radio, which receives television signals. What a terrible show, but I'm hooked on it as one would be on a soap opera.

Mr. Crazy is picking up on Latin. He can discern between 1rst, 2nd, and 3rd person, has memorized the 2nd conjugation endings. We did some math in review this morning, it's always fun to see how much easier these things become for him the second time around.

We need to go buy Halloween chocolate... not looking forward to all the foul-mouthed kids at my door. Mr. Crazy and Glamor Girl have Planet of the Apes costumes, with masks. They look great in them.
